Our Roles

From Barista to Manager and beyond, you’ll receive clear and practical training – such as perfecting coffee making skills, people management and delivering a top rate customer experience in a supportive and structured way. We welcome and encourage everyone at Nero to contribute ideas and share feedback.

  • Barista

    Our Baristas are the heartbeat of Caffè Nero. As well as making amazing coffee for our customers, they make a difference to their day too.

    You don’t need any experience to become a Barista (we provide all the training you need), but what’s essential is that you love being part of a team, have a great attitude and bags of energy.

  • Shift Leader

    As a Shift Leader, you will support in the running of the store – leading the team, giving great customer service and delivering the very best standards of coffee and food

    Ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.

  • Assistant Manager

    Our Assistant Managers have a vital role, providing support to the Store Manager with a wide range of key store activities and deputising for them in their absence.

    Many of our Assistant Managers are on a career path to Store Manager, and this role gives great experience to make that possible.

    If you pride yourself on keeping customers happy through fantastic service, whilst learning and growing in a great team, this could be the right job for you.

  • Store Manager

    As a Store Manager you will take ownership of your own store, providing great customer service and the best standards of coffee and food. You will pride yourself on keeping your customers happy through fantastic service, whilst growing and developing your own team.

    And the opportunities don’t stop there. Many of our Area Managers developed from Store Manager, and a high proportion of our head office team too!
