Not sure which espresso-based drink is for you? Traditionally Italians would have a Cappuccino in the morning and espresso throughout the day. But it's really down to personal preference and understanding what you like?
An espresso is for people who appreciate coffee in its purest form. We're proud of our blend: balanced with a bright acidity, a caramel-like sweetness and notes of rich dark chocolate aromas.
Made with a single espresso, dash of milk and mark of foam, the Macchiato has a less intense flavour than an espresso shot. The dash of milk subdues the potency of the espresso.
With roughly a 1:2 ratio of espresso to milk, the Cortado's much sweeter in flavour than the Macchiato. With less foam, and a denser milk, Cortado provides the perfect balance between the bright acidity and rich aromas of the Caffè Nero Classico Blend and the sweetness of milk.
The Flat White is prepared in an 8oz (240ml) ceramic cup with a double ristretto as the coffee base, steamed milk and a thin 0.5cm layer of micro-foam. This means the taste of the espresso is less profound in comparison to the Cortado.
The Cappuccino is the traditional Italian morning coffee. It's made up with 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 micro-foam. This ratio?s maintained in a regular size cup, but varies for a large, which contains slightly more milk.
The Latte or Caffè Latte, translated means coffee with milk. It's made up of 1 part espresso, 3 parts milk and a thin 1cm layer of micro-foam. The espresso to milk ratio makes for a sweeter taste, with a less pronounced coffee flavour.
